Tori Sampson To Write Chris Paul’s Biopic, ’61’
Apparently last December Disney announced the biopic of NBA superstar Chris Paul. Now it seems that the work of Chris’s biopic has started in full swing. Disney has hired Tori Sampson, the writer of Showtime Network’s series Three Woman, to write the story of the film. The upcoming project will be produce by Chris Paul and his C.J. Paul. Apart from the writer, no director nor star cast has been confirmed from the project at this time. The director and star cast will also be confirmed in the coming days. Tori Simpson most recently worked as a co-writer for Amazon‘s Hunters and Solos series.
The story of 61 will follow NBA star Chris Paul, a two-time Olympic gold medalist. The story of the film will cover the journey of Chris Paul, due to which he is who he is today. It is obvious that the film will also inform us about those incidents which we do not know. Clearly, at the age of 36, Chris is at the stage that every athlete dreams of.
Chris has entered into an agreement with Macmillan Ltd under which his two books will come. Chris will co-write the book’s story with Michael Wilbon. Out of the two books, one version will be for adults and one for kids. Both the books are expected to be published by the end of this year.
The release date of Chris Paul biopic 61 is yet to be officially confirmed. But we can expect the film to release in late 2022 or early 2023.
