American actor Ron Perlman says that if there is any such possibility of the creation of Hellboy 3, he will definitely not hesitate to play the character of Hellboy once again. The actor believes that even if the film has been rebooted. Apparently, Ron Perlman was the first actor to have play this iconic comic book character on the film screen. The film series was started in 2004 under the direction of Guillermo Del Toro. The film was praised by the audience, which led to the pairing of Ron Perlman and Guillermo Del Toro in 2008 with Hellboy: The Golden Army.

After this, it is not known why the series of this film was discontinued. Years later, Lionsgate Studio and director Neil Marshall decided to reboot the Hellboy series. In this film, Ron Perlman refused to play the role of Hellboy in the film due to Guillermo Del Toro. David Harbour was then invited to play the character of Hellboy in 2017. Then the film was released in 2019 and it was a disaster. The film was fully R-rated. This film was not liked by the audience.

Now, Pearlman has made up his mind to play the character of Hellboy again. He says he would see it as ending the trilogy. Because before that he worked in two films with Guillermo Del Toro. He also said that he likes David Harbour and is not angry with the actor for playing a role in the 2019 film. He said that :

I’m fond of David Harbour. He’s a really good guy and he’s a really good actor, so I was hoping for the best for him, but I had my Hellboy epoch, era, was what it was. This has really nothing to do with it. There was no overlap. They were two completely different entities. So I didn’t have an opinion about the new Hellboy or a wish for it to succeed or fail, but I did make it clear that if there was a chance to finish the trilogy with Guillermo, as we had done the first two films and in the image of what he had in mind in terms of closing all of the circles, that is something that I would, to this day, consider doing. But, since it [got canceled], then I had moved on and I didn’t have an opinion about any of it. And I’m not being effusive or hyperbolic, that’s just the truth of it.
