Vin Diesel is all set to play lead role in action-adventure film, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots for Universal. This upcoming action-adventure will be adaptation of tabletop boxing game, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots.
Vin Diesel is very excited about the film. He said in a statement that, ” To take the classic Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em game, with Mattel ( The popular toy manufacturing company ) as my partner and align it with the kind of world-buliding, franchise-making success we have had with Universal, is truly exciting”., as per Variety However, the director has not been confirmed for the live action version of Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots. Though, Ryan Engel is hired to write the screenplay for the film. Ryan Engel has previously written screenplays for Dwayne Johnson’s Rampage.
Vin Diesel will also produce along with Samantha Vincent Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots film with his One Race Films Company for Universal as well as Mattel.
However, the Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots game was launched in 1966, and since then, the game had become a staple of pop culture. The game follows an arcade boxing game. In which he has pitted the Red Rocker against the Blue Bomber in a fight to close his rival’s block. Rock ‘Em Sock’ Em Robots game has ruled for the last five decades. Due to this, small references of games have appeared in films, TV shows and commercials.
