Actress Daniella Pineda to star in Lionsgate’s upcoming action thriller, The Plane alongside Gerard Butler. Apart from Daniella and Gerrard, the film also stars Mike Colter and Kelly Gale.

Jean-Francois Richet is directing The Plane for Lionsgate, which will begin shooting in Puerto Rico later this month. Jean-Francois Richet has previously directed action thrillers such as Blood Father ( 2016 ) starring Mel Gibson. The story of the film will be based on a book by Charles Cumming, co-written with him by JP Davis and Matt Cook. Gerard Butler’s The Plane will produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura with his Di Bonaventura Pictures, Marc Vahradian, Marc Butan’s MadRiver Pictures, Gerard Butler along with Alan Siegel through his G-BASE banner. Olive Hill Media and Paprika Financing will bear the production cost of the film in association with Pimienta Films. Luillo Ruiz will also serve as co-producer and Michael Cho, Tim Lee, Gary Raskin, Alastair Burlingame and Vicki Dee Rock are serving as executive producers.

The Plane Film Plot
The Plane film’s story will follows a commercial pilot Brodie Torrance, who, after successfully landing his storm-damaged plane in hostile territory, finds himself under the threat of terrorist pirates who plan to take the plane and passengers hostage. In such a situation, the world’s top officials and media start searching for the missing plane. Will Brodie be able to keep the plane and passengers safe until help arrives? This is the story of The Plane. Daniella Pineda will play a head flight attendant in the film.
Daniella Pineda has previously appeared in Universal’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Along with this she has also appeared in Mr Roosevelt ( 2017 ). She has also appeared in the Netflix’s horror film Mercy Black ( 2019 ).
In addition to The Plane, Daniella will also appear in Universal’s Jurassic World: Dominion. Jurassic World: Dominion release date set for June 10, 2022.
