Phoebe Waller-Bridge is star in ‘Indiana Jones 5’ film for Lucasfilm to play lead role opposite Harrison Ford. Lucasfilm confirmed this cast to Indiana Jones’s fifth untiled film on Friday during in a press release. Harrison Ford comes back to reprise his iconic role, Indiana Jones.

James Mangold will direct this untitled film instead of Steven Spielberg. James has directed films such as Logan, Ford vs Ferrari, Knight and Day during his career. Though, Steven Spielberg has directed the last four film for Lucasfilm. After 40 years, Legendary composer John Williams is back to score the Indiana Jones’s fifth untitled film. John Williams composed the Indiana Jones franchise’s first film, Raiders of the Lost Ark.
The film’s director James Mangold is very excited for Indiana Jones’s upcoming fifth untitled film. He said in a statement that, ” I am thrilled to be starting a new journey with full of adventure along with a dream team of all-time great filmmakers”. He adds, ” Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford and John Williams are all my favorite and adding actress like Phoebe Waller-Bridge, i will lucky because she is a dazzling actor with brilliant voice”.
Release Date
‘Indiana Jones 5’ film was originally scheduled to release on July 10, 2020. Later film was delayed to summer 2021 due Covid-19 pandemic. Now, Indiana Jones 5 is set to release in theaters on July 29, 2022.
In 2019, Phoebe Waller-Bridge has won three Emmys Awards for her performance in dark comedy film, “Fleabag.” Phoebe plays the title character in Fleabag film and she was also creator and head writer of the film. She also served as head writer and executive producer for BBC’s series ‘Killing Eve’.
Phoebe is also star in Amazon’s upcoming series in remake of Mr. & Mrs. Smith opposite Donald Glover.
Indiana Jones’s fifth untitled film is being produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel.
Last Indian Jones’s series film, Indiana Jones and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released in 2008. The film was a tremendous hit at the box office. Film grossed around 791 million dollars worldwide with a budget of 185 million.
