Jurassic Park III star Alessandro Nivola joins Kraven the Hunter to play villain for Sony and Marvel.
Sony’s ‘Kraven The Hunter’ has found its villain in the form of Alessandro Nivola. The Red Sea Diving Resort star Alessandro Nivola has been cast in Sony’s upcoming anti-hero flick. Apparently Ariana, Fred Hechinger and Russell Crowe were involved a few days before Sony’s new anti-hero flick. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is playing title role.
J. C. Chandor, best known for Netflix‘s Triple Frontier will direct the film. As well as Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk are writing screenplay for upcoming anti-hero flick. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing the film for Sony Pictures.
However, at this time it is not clear which villain Alessandro Nivola will play. On the other hand Ariana is playing the character of Calypso in the film, who is a magic priestess who uses magic potions according to the comics books. Calypso is Spider-Man’s great antagonist. Additionally she is sometimes Kraven’s lover and sometimes companion.
Alessandro Nivola’s recent release was The Many Saints of Newark. He will next seen in Spin Me Round. Later he will also seen in White Noise. Alessandro is currently busy shooting for Matt Ruskin’s drama feature, Boston Strangler.
However, Kraven is one of the most iconic and notorious antihero characters in the Marvel Comics Books, whose first appearance was found in the comic book in 1964’s The Amazing Spider-Man #15. This iconic character was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Kraven has clashed with several other superheroes in the comics book, such as Spider-man, Black Panther, and Venom. He is often overconfident in his abilities. He has abilities such as enhanced physical attributes, skilled tactician, tracker and master of hand to hand combat.
Obviously, beyond Marvel, Sony is setting up its own universe that will revolve around Spider-Man. Although at present everything is going well between Marvel and Sony. Sony’s recent projects on the line all connect to Spider-Man in some way or another, like Venom. In this context, Jared Leto’s ‘Morbius’ is also to be released later which is part of this universe. In this context, Kraven the Hunter also becomes very important, which will connect to Spider-Man in the future.
It is clear that Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has become the biggest blockbuster of all time for Sony and that too amid the Covid-19 crisis. The film has so far earned around $1.854 billion at the box office. In such a situation, viewers will be eager to see Kraven, the new comic book character from Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, on the big screen.
