Amazon’s upcoming TV series, The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings of Power has made its intentions clear for 2022 for another streaming platform. The 1-minute trailer left during the Super Bowl has got a record number of views in 24 hours. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power trailer got a record 257 million views in the first 24 hours of release. This is the highest for any TV series. However, Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ remains at No. 1 with 355 million views for the first 24 hours.

But The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power trailer released during the Super Bowl has become a world record for the views received, no one around it. In this context, Amazon expressed its gratitude to the fans on its social media account Twitter.

In this context, Ukonwa Oja of Amazon, in a conversation with Syfy, has said that, “Response to The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has been overwhelming. In introducing the upcoming series to viewers, we aim to make sure we stay at the center of pop culture while staying true to the J.R.R Tolkien Universe. He countinuous, “Super Bowl was always designed to be the ultimate payoff for the fans. A teaser of the result was eligible to start during the biggest annual televised and sporting event of the year. This record-breaking achievement belongs to our fans, and we look forward to it. We continue to take fans on an incredible journey that leads back to the beginning of fall.”

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Plot

Based on the story of JJer Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will focus on events of Middle-Earth before “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings.” Where begins during a time of relative peace and covers all the major events of the Second Age of Middle-earth: the Forging of The Rings of Power, the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron, the fall of the island kingdom of Numenor, and the Final Alliance of the Elves and among men. These events take place over thousands of years in Tolkien’s original stories, but are condensed for the series.

The Lord of the Rings series is produce by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay as well as showrunners. They are serving as executive producers along with Callum Greene, Lindsey Weber, J.A. Bayona ( Who is director as well ), Belen Atienza, Justin Doble, Jason Cahill, Gennifer Hutchison, Bruce Richmond and Sharon Tal Yguado. Wayne Che Yip is also serving as co-executive producer and director. Charlotte Brandstrom is also serving as director. Christopher Newman is the producer of the series.

Obviously, Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings is the most expensive TV series ever. Studio has announced the making of 5 seasons of the series with a budget of $1 billion.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is set to premiere on Prime video on September 2, 2022.
