Benedict Cumberbatch To Host ‘SNL’ With Musical Guest ‘Arcade Fire’.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange, Benedict Cumberbatch is returning to host ‘Saturday Night Live‘ after 2016.

The return of Benedict Cumberbatch was announced during this weekend’s April 16 broadcast of Saturday Night Live. Lizzo took over as host and musical guest on the episode.

It is expected that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit theaters in May, and during the same weekend, where actor will host Saturday Night Live’s show on May 7 with the musical band, Arcade Fire. This news confirmed on Saturday Night Live official page on twitter.
The actor made his debut as a host on Saturday Night Live in 2016 when he arrived to promote his Marvel debut film Doctor Strange, which featured singer-songwriter Solange as a music guest.

Two-time Oscar nominee Benedict Cumberbatch has made a guest appearance in the recently released Netflix’s comedy feature The Bubble. Prior to this, he also appeared in Sony’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. which has become the biggest blockbuster of all time for the studio. His 2021 release Netflix’s The Power of the Dog received 12 nominations, including Best Actor in the 94th edition of the Oscars.

Benedict’s Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is going to be one of their important upcoming projects. Currently, the hype for the superhero hero feature is sky high. After that, Benedict Cumberbatch will next seen in Wes Anderson’s The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar based on Roald Dahl book with same name which came in 1982. Later, he will next seen in Colin Trevorrow’s World War II drama, War Magician.

On the other hand, the Arcade Fire band will make their sixth appearance on Saturday Night Live. Arcade Fire is set to release their long-awaited sixth album, “We”, which is band’s first new effort since 2017’s “Everything Now”. Apparently Will Butler left the band last month. This will be the Arcade Fire band’s first performance on Saturday Night Live on May 7 since the exit of Will Butler.
