‘Black Widow’ Delayed Again, Now Scarlett Johansson’s Film Premieres On Disney+ With Theaters

Black Widow film’s release date has been pushed forward once again by Marvel Studios. Now the film will be released on theaters and streaming platform Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar on the same day. Disney’s Emma Stone starrer ‘Cruella’ film also got delayed. Although Cruella was to be released on May 28 and and Black Widow was scheduled to release for May 7, 2021.

Marvel’s much-awaited film, Scarlett Johansson starrer, Black Widow was originally scheduled to release in last year May, 2020. But due to Covid-19, its release has postponed. Walt Disney’s official handle announced that some of its biggest films, Marvel’s Black Widow, Cruella and others films will be delayed. However, theses films will be available on Disney+ and same time in theaters. To watch these films on Disney+, subscribers have to spend $30 for early- access fee. Same move was adapted by Warner Bros. Studio for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 1984 in late December 2020. That time, Warner Bros. Studio announced that their all upcoming film projects will released in theaters and on streaming platform HBO Max simultaneously.

Black Widow Film’s New Release Date

Marvel’s Black Widow film is now schedule to release on July 9, 2021, on streaming platform Disney+ and in theaters on same day. Disney’s Studio confirmed these release date on Twitter. See below

Disney has moved some of its and other film’s release date as well. Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings film moves July 16 to September 3.

Despite the massive refocus on streaming, Disney doesn’t plan to entirely ditch theaters. Numerous smaller titles, mostly those inherited from 20th Century, have been postponed but will bow solely on the big screen, including Ryan Reynolds’s “Free Guy” is moves to August 13. “The King’s Man” film will now release on December 22. Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas starring “Deep Water” will release on January 14, 2022. Kenneth Branagh’s “Death on the Nile” will release on February 11, 2022.
