Channing Tatum reportedly joins Scarlett Johansson in ‘Project Artemis’ for Apple Studios.

Looks like Apple Studios has found a replacement for Chris Evans in Project Artemis. Channing Tatum of ‘The Lost City’ can now join Scarlett Johansson in Project Artemis, talks in the final stages for the role. Also the studio has got the director for the upcoming mega budget feature. Greg Berlanti, co-writer and producer of Ryan Reynolds’ Green Lantern, will direct Apple’s Project Artemis.

Obviously, Project Artemis was initially to be directed by Jason Bateman of Netflix’s Ozark. But in the first week of last month, Jason Bateman withdrew his hands from the film due to creative differences. Also actor Chris Evans pulled out of Apple’s space-race adventure drama project Artemis due to Netflix’s Pain Hustlers also staring Emily Blunt. Apparently Chris Evans left the film citing a date conflict.

However, Scarlett Johansson will be seen in the lead role in Apple Studios’ Project Artemis. If all goes well, Channing Tatum will be seen opposite Johansson. What will be the story of the film, it is kept a secret for now. Apart from acting, Scarlett Johansson is also producing the film under her banner These Pictures. Jonathan Lia and Keenan Flynn are also producing the film with Apple Studios. Apparently, last March, Apple Studios spent over $100 plus million for the rights to Project Artemis.

Channing Tatum previously seen in Paramount’s action comedy, The Lost City also starring Sandra Bullock. Along with this Channing Tatum also appeared in his own directorial comedy drama Dog. He will next seen in Zoë Kravitz’s ( The Batman ) directional debut, Pussy Island for MGM.

Greg Berlanti is also known as the producer and showrunner of DC’s TV shows such as Arrow, The Flash and Doom Patrol. Apple’s Project Artemis will be his first film as a director.
