Chris Pratt’s upcoming indie comedy The Black Belt has found a director. The film will be directed by Paul Briganti, one of the select directors of the NBC Universal TV show SNL ( Saturday Night Live ).
Obviously Paul Briganti has directed some of the episodes of SNL that became famous overnight. His Chad, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Adam Ruins Everything are a select few episodes. He is also best known for his short films like Greener Grass, Kids Reenact and Donald and Jess. All this is a testimony to the fact that his experience in comedy is so much appreciated. Monarch Media’s Steve Barnett announces that Briganti is paving the way for the next generation of advanced comedy filmmakers. Directing a film, apart from TV, will give a new dimension to Paul Briganti’s career. First break that too with a artist like Chris Pratt.
The script of the film is written by Randall Green ( The Perfect Date, The Great Outdoors ). Chris Pratt will star as well as produce the film with his Indivisible Productions with his producing partner Jon Schumacher. Monarch Media’s Steve Barnett and Alan Powell are also serving as producer. Vicky Patel is serving as executive producer. UTA Independent Film Group will distribute and sell The Black Belt in the international market.
Chris Pratt’s The Black Belt will follow a shy and fearless boy who is on a quest for expertise in karate. In which his uncle will show him the way. Although this journey will be full of comedy. Chris Pratt will play the role of Uncle in the film.
More recently, Chris Pratt’s The Tomorrow War was released on the streaming platform Amazon. The film is being liked by the audience very much and doing well till now.
