Black Panther Film’s star Michael B. Jordan makes his directional debut with MGM with upcoming sports drama ‘Creed III’. This will be the third installment of the Creed film series. MGM Studios has announced that Jordan is going to unveil his directorial career with the ‘Creed III’ film.
The script for this upcoming sports drama film will be written by Keenan Coogler ( who is also co-writer of the screenplay for upcoming comedy film, “Space Jam: A New Legacy” )and Zach Baylin ( King Richard ). Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad are expected to return for third part.

Michael B. Jordan is also very excited about his new innings. He told an interview that “Direction has always been a wish, but the time has to be right for it. ‘Creed III’ perfectly in view of the demand of time and moment for me to start with as Director. I have reached that stage of life, where I have started identifying myself, what can I do. I learning from the Greats like Ryan Coogler and most recent Denzel Washington. Both these celebrities have established new dimensions regarding their work, which I respect very much. This franchise and in particular the themes of ‘Creed’ film series are deeply personal to me. I look forward sharing the next chapter of Adonis Creed’s story with the awesome responsibility of being as director and namesake.”

Michael B. Jordan play as Adonis “Creed” Johnson, who is son of the boxing champion Apollo Creed ( play by Carl Weathers, who is former foe turned friend of Rocky Balboa and killed in a match with Ivan Drago( Dolph Lundgren ) in ‘Rocky IV’.)
However, “Creed III” film’s plot not known yet. Nothing is clear yet on whether Sylvester Stallone will return in the Creed III film.

‘Creed III’ Film Release Date
‘Creed III’ is set to release on Thanksgiving on November 24, 2022, MGM Studio confirmed this with announcement of director as Michael B. Jordan.
The first part of the Creed film series was released in 2015 which was directed by Ryan Coogler. The film grossed 173 million worldwide with a budget of 35 million. Sylvester Stallone wins Golden Globe Award for this film.
While “Creed II” grossed 215 million worldwide at the box office with a budget of 50 million. ‘Creed II’ film was released in 2018, which was directed by Steven Caple Jr.
