David Tennant and Catherine Tate are returning to reprise their as Doctor and Donna Noble in ‘Doctor Who’, BBC confirmed.
10th Doctor David Tennant’s Doctor and his companion Catherine Tate’s Donna Noble return to reprise their roles for the British sci-fi drama. This news has been confirmed by showrunner Russell T. Davies.
Russell T. Davies writes while posting on his social media account Instagram, “HEY’RE BACK! The Doctor and Donna! But… how?! He wiped her memory! If she remembers, she’ll die! But, but… is it a flashback? A dream sequence, Or A lie, Or A fantasy, Or A parallel universe, ! Alt Doctor? The Land of Fiction?! You’ll find out in 2023 as Doctor Who hits its 60th – diamond! – anniversary!
Apparently, Doctor Who, the British sci-fi series that started in 1963, is going to complete its 60 years on BBC One in the year 2023. It is evident that David had joined the series as the 10th Doctor from 2005 to 2010. And even before that, David Tennant has also returned in the Eleventh Doctor version of Matt Smith on the series’ 50th anniversary.
It is also worth noting that under the leadership of David Tennant, series was very successful. During the 2008, each episode of series averaged over 8 million views. Undoubtedly, once again the pairing of David and Catherine will do wonders once again. Apart from Doctor Who, David Tennant is also known for the Netflix superhero series Jessica Jones. 13th Doctor in the series currently is Jodie Whittaker, which recently premiered in the Legend of the Sea Devils episode. The last untitled episode of the series with Jodie Whittaker will release by the end of 2022. Legend of the Sea Devils episode got a good response from the critics.
Along with this, the selection of the 14th doctor of the series has also been done a week back. Ncuti Gatwa, the star of Netflix’s comedy-drama series ‘Sex Education’, will be the next doctor in the series. Ncuti Gatwa also currently has a Warner Bros’ live-action film ‘Barbie’ starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the lead roles. New episodes of Doctor Who with Ncuti Gatwa to be released in 2023.
