Disney Plus Renewed ‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ Season 2.

Disney Plus has announced the season 2 of Lucasfilm’s animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch ahead of its finale. Along with this, it has also been announced to release the series in 2022. But the release date is not confirmed yet.

It is obvious that the Star Wars: The Bad Batch series is getting a lot of love from the audience. So it was natural that season 2 of the series would definitely come. But it was not expected that it would be announced just before the season 1 finale. Star Wars: The Bad Batch series premiered on Disney Plus on May 4 this year. New episodes of the series are being released week after week on the lines of WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and ‘Loki’ . So far 13 episodes of the series have been released. The first season has a total of 16 episodes, the last episode of the series will be released on August 13.

According to Deadline, Disney Plus and ESPN President Michael Paull said that, “Fans have enthusiastically embraced the action and drama of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and we are excited to see the Star Wars animated universe continue to expand on Disney+. As the dedicated streaming home for the Star Wars franchise, we can’t wait for the second season of this fan-favorite animated series.”

Along with this, in the renewal announcement of the series, executive producer Dave Filoni said that, “The entire LucasFilm Animated team annd I would like to thank Disney+ and our fans for the opportunity to continue telling the story of the Bad Batch.”

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Plot

Disney’s Star Wars: The Bad Batch series follows a squad of genetically advanced clone soldiers, beginning in the final season of The Clone Wars. According to the story, they defy the Galactic Empire and become mercenaries after the events of Revenge of the Sith, running into rogues such as bounty hunter Fenech Shand and a replacement. Finding its place in the galaxy.
