Disney Plus Unveils The First Look and Release Date For It’s new Animated Anthology Series, ‘Star Wars: Visions’.
Haven’t gotten over the Disney Plus show The Mandalorian yet? It doesn’t matter if it has landed, this time Disney and Lucasfilm is coming with a new animated anthology series Star Wars: Visions. Disney Plus also announced the seven Japanese anime studios, who are behind the seven short films in the series.

The seven shorts announced at the event of Anime Expo Lite 2021 and the Japanese studios working on them, The Studios are:-
The Duel by Kamikaze Douga ,Who produced 2018’s Batman Ninja with Warner Bros. Japan and DC Entertainment.
Lop & Ocho by Geno Studio, Who created Golden Kamuy
Tatooine Rhapsody by Studio Colorido, Who created A Whisker Away
The Twins and The Elder by Trigger, Who created Kill La Kill
The Village Bride by Kinema Citus, Who created Tokyo Mangnitude 8.0
Akakiri and T0-B1 by Science Saru, Who created Japan Sinks for Netflix.
The Ninth Jedi by Production IG, Who created Ghost in the Cell.
During the event, Lucasfilm Executive Producer James Waugh said, “We really wanted to give these creators a broad creative birth to explore the Star Wars galaxy. We wanted it to be as authentic as possible for the studio and the creators. The idea was , it is their vision , which removes all the elements of the Star Wars galaxy that inspired them”.
Although, Disney announced the ‘Star Wars: Visions’ series in December last year with Japanese studios. It is well known that how much Japanese studios are skilled in animation.
Release Date
Disney and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Visions is all set to premier on streaming service platform, Disney Plus from September 22, 2021.
