Disney+ unveils first official trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ewan McGregor returns as Jedi.

Disney and Lucasfilms released the first official trailer for their upcoming mini-TV series Obi-Wan Kenobi, as Ewan McGregor returns in Star Wars franchise.

The first official trailer for the Star Wars tv miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi confirms the return of Ewan McGregor as a Jedi Master. Ewan McGregor is playing title role in Disney’ and Lucasfilm’ upcoming sci-fi-adventure series. The upcoming TV series from Disney+ and Lucasfilm also sees some new stars joining the franchise. Hayden Christensen is also returning to reprise his role as Darth Vader. TV series also featuring stars Joel Edgerton, Sung Kang, Kumail Nanjiani, Bonnie Piesse, Rupert Friend and Indira Varma. The story of the series is written by Joby Harold and directed by Deborah Chow. Deborah Chow is also serving as executive producer with Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Joby Harold as well as Ewan McGregor.

The story of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series will be set 10 years after the events of 2005’s Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (Episode III). The trailer begins on Tatooine Planet, with a young Luke Skywalker playing in his house. Obi-Wan is watching Luke and keeping him safe, as it is likely that the boy is Force-sensitive since he is Anakin’s son. The trailer shows how Obi-Wan Kenobi’s best friend and apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, has now turned into the now evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. Additionally, the trailer also shows that the Jedi’s lives are of no value in Tatooine Planet, they are publicly executed and hanged.

Surely, Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series will show the good facing the evil and the master facing the disciple. Disney and Lucasfilm are going to have a big bang in 2022 with Obi-Wan Kenobi after the success of The Book of Boba Fett on streaming platform Disney+.
