Three new cast members have been confirmed for STX’s Psychological Thriller Film, ‘The Marsh King’s Daughter’. Gil Birmingham, Brooklynn Prince and Caren Pistorius are all set to joins Dasiy Ridley in the film. Neil Burger is directing the film, who best known for directing films like ‘Voyagers’ ( 2021 ), ‘The Upside’ ( 2017 ), ‘The Illusionist’ and ‘Limitless’ ( 2011 ). Teddy Schwarzman is producing the film The Marsh King’s Daughter with his Black Bear Pictures and Keith Redmon ( The Revenant ) for STX. The upcoming psychological thriller has written by Elle Smith and Mark L. Smith. Though, this has written the story of Leonardo DiCaprio’s film, The Revenant. Keith Redmon from Anonymous Content and Mark L. Smith are also serving as producer. Michael Heimler from Black Bear, Cliff Roberts from Syndicate Entertainment and Charles Miller are serving as executive producer. Black Bear will finance the Neil Burger’s The Marsh King’s Daughter. Production work for the film will begin in Canada this week.
What Will The Story Of ‘The Marsh King’s Daughter’?
STX’s upcoming film ‘The Marsh King’s Daughter’ is based on Karen Dionne’s best-selling novel with same name. ‘The Marsh King’s Daughter‘ film story will follows Helena (played by Daisy Ridley ), a woman living a simple life. Though, Helena has kept her feelings and thoughts hidden for a long time. His father is an infamous Marsh king who kept his daughter Helena and wife captive in the forest for years, as per novel. Meanwhile some day, Helena somehow manages to escape from her father’s captivity. But here her troubles do not subside, the more she runs away from her past, the more she stands in front of her. To save his power and escape from the past, King Marsh sent demons to kill mother and daughter. Will she make through out of it? That’s the story of the film.
Ben Mendelsohn is also star in the film. Gil Birmingham has previously appeared in The Twilight Saga film series based on Stepheine Meyer’s novel Twilight. Apart from this, he has worked in films like Wind River, Hell or High Water and Yellowstone. He will also be seen in Netflix’s ‘Pieces of Her‘ series. Gil Birmingham will also appear in Marvel’s Upcoming Film ‘Eternals’.
Caren Pistorius has also appeared with Russell Crowe in the film Unhinged. She is best known for Christian Rivers’s Mortal Engines, High Ground.
Brooklynn Prince had previously appeared in the Oscar-nominated film The Florida Project, which one directed by Sean Baker. After that, she has appeared in ‘The Turning‘ and ‘The One and Only Evan’. She also voiced the character of Bianca in the DC’s animated film, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. She is also recently working in Apple TV Plus series Home Before Dark, which premiered last week.
