‘Halloween Kills’: Universal’s Horror-Slasher Film Is All Set To Premiere On Peacock & In Theaters On Same Day

Universal Studios’ upcoming slasher horror film, Halloween Kills will release on the same day in theaters alongside NBCUniversal streaming platform Peacock.

As nowadays due to Covid-19, studios are turning to streaming platforms with theaters to take their films to the audience. In this context, Universal’s new horror film Halloween Kills is associated which will be released on the streaming platform along with theaters. For this the studio has turned to its streaming platform Peacock, provided you have to spend $4.99 a month to become a premium subscriber. Here the concession is given for the subscribers, there will be no extra charge for watching the movie, as for Disney Plus. $4.99 plan will be ad supported, while the plan without ads is $9.99 a month.

Halloween Kills will be Universal’s second film to be released alongside theaters on the streaming platform Peacock. Universal has previously released its animated feature ‘The Boss Baby: Family Business‘ on Peacock, in line with Warner Bros and Disney. The Boss Baby: Family Business has so far done business of $105 million worldwide.

Obviously, due to the crisis of Covid-19, the earnings of good films at the office have been very disappointing. Due to which the producers and studios are incurring huge losses. That’s why studios are releasing their upcoming projects on the same day streaming platform with theaters.

Halloween Kills Plot

The story of Halloween Kills picks up almost immediately after the events of 2018’s Halloween, where Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis ), along with her daughter and her granddaughter, leaves Michael Myers ( James Jude Courtney ) in their house to burn. However, Michael Myers manages to escape and is once again free to commit bloodshed.

Original film director David Gordon Green directed Halloween Kills. The original 2018 film Halloween had a great run at the box office. The film grossed $255 million worldwide from a budget of just $10 million. The last film of this super-hit horror franchise will be Halloween Ends which will be released on 14 October 2022 next year.

Release Date

Universal’s Halloween Kills is now set to release in theaters and on streaming platform Peacock on October 15, 2021.
