Harrison Ford Starrer ‘Indiana Jones 5’ Wrapped Filming

Disney and Lucasfilm’s has wrapped filming for their upcoming action adventure ‘Indiana Jones 5’, producer Frank Marshall confirms.

Actor Harrison Ford‘s Indiana Jones will once again embark on a journey full of action and adventure. Producer Frank Marshall has confirmed that filming has wrapped for the 5th installment of Indiana Jones. He has shared this information on his official social media Instagram through a cap picture on which INDY is written. He writes in the caption that, “That’s a wrap!!! #indianajones.”

Indiana Jones will return after a long wait of almost 15 years. Apparently Part 4 of the franchise Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released in 2008, which grossed around $791 million dollars worldwide with a budget of $185 million. Although the title of the 5th installment is yet to be decided. Harrison Ford is returning once again to play the title role. Apart from Harrison Ford, Indiana Jones also featuring stars like Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Antonio Banderas, Thomas Kretschmann and Shauntte Renee Wilson. This time James Mangold, who is best known for Logan, Ford vs Ferrari, Knight and Day is directing the film instead of Steven Spielberg.

Although, Though, Steven Spielberg has directed the last four film for Lucasfilm, but this he associate with project as producer with Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel of Lucasfilm. Legendary composer John Williams is back to score the Indiana Jones’s fifth untitled film. John Williams composed the Indiana Jones franchise’s first film, Raiders of the Lost Ark after 40 years.

The plot of the Indiana Jones 5 story has been kept a secret for now. Apart from Harrison Ford, which actor will play what role in the film is not yet known.

Indiana Jones 5 Release Date

Previously , Disney had rescheduled the release of its upcoming projects, Indiana Jones 5 was one of them. However, it initially schedule for July 10, 2020. Later film was delayed to summer 2021 due Covid-19 pandemic, then it move on July 29, 2022. After many delays, Now Harrison Ford starrer action-adventure feature is set to release on June 30, 2023.
