Daniels Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint reunite nostalgia as they celebrate Harry Potter 20th Anniversary.
Time seems to have stopped, as the first film in the Harry Potter series, which started 20 years ago based on the novel by J.K Rowling, just released yesterday. But where the wheel of time stops for anyone, who can say that the first film in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, was released exactly 20 years before today, on November 4, 2001, at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London. But by the year 2011, the franchise came to an end with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Later J.K Rowling kicked off almost 5 years later with Fantastic Beasts, the prequel to the franchise. But it faded in the face of the original franchise. In this context, Warner Bros’ is releasing ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, the third installment of the Wizarding World’s Fantastic Beast series, on April 8, 2022.
Now 10 years later, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are together again in Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. The trio talked about their fellow actors. Where actress Emma Watson reveals that she had to kiss Rupert during a scene in Deathly Hollows: Part 2, it was the most terrifying thing for her. She continues “I knew I had to be the one to do this ( kissing scene ). I needed moments to make it happen. It just felt wrong though, so wrong on every level because Daniel, Rupert and I were like siblings.” We all realized how much it meant to us to do it.”
Regarding the same scene, Rupert says that “I thought that I was blacked out. I still remember Emma’s face getting closer and closer to mine.”
Daniel, on the other hand, reveals that he had a crush on Helena Bonham Carter at that time, although she is 23 years older than him.
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts is now available for stream on HBO Max to celebrate the new year 2022.
