Jason Bateman Joins Taron Egerton In Netflix’s Action-Thriller, ‘Carry On’

Netflix super-hit series, Ozark actor, Jason Bateman joins Taron Egerton in the upcoming action thriller, Carry On.

Netflix’s upcoming action-thriller, Carry On is moving ahead with the streaming platform’s favorite star Jason Bateman. In this context, the actor will join Taron Egerton in the film. Spanish director Jaume Collet-Serra has been roped in to direct the project from a script from TJ Fixman and Michael Green. Jaume Collet-Serra has previously directed 2021’s hit fantasy adventure, Jungle Cruise, starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, for Disney. He has also directed Warner Bros. and DC’s upcoming Black Adam with Dwayne Johnson which will release on October 21, 2022.

Netflix is producing the upcoming action thriller feature in association with Amblin Entertainment Company. Dylan Clark ( The Batman ) will also produce the film. Brian Williams, Scott Greenberg and Seth William Meier will serve as executive producer.

Carry On Plot

Netflix’s new action-thriller story will follow a young TSA agent, Ethan Kopek ( Taron Egerton ), who is blackmailed by a mysterious traveler to let a dangerous package slips through security and onto the Christmas Day flight.

Rumor has it that Jason Bateman may play the role of the mysterious traveler.

Jason Bateman has recently been garnering a lot of accolades as Marty Byrde in the final season of the Ozark series. He has also been the executive producer and director of the series. Jason Bateman has also received a nomination at the Emmy Awards 2022 as an actor and director for Ozark.

Bateman will next seen in Ben Affleck’s directional Untitled Nike film. He is also producing Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy flick, Your Place or Mine. Apart from this, he is also serving as executive producer of Peacock‘s comedy thriller series, Based on a True Story.

Bateman made headlines some time ago after leaving the Apple + Project Artemis due to creative differences.
