Marvel Studio has roped in Jeff Kaplan & Ian to write the script for, Fantastic Four.
Marvel Studios has also found a writers for Fantastic Four after Matt Shakman, best known for WandaVision was announced as director during the D23 Expo event. Marvel’s upcoming superhero flick has relied on Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer to write the story. Obviously both writers are new to the industry, although they currently have some built up credits and a few projects in development, like Warner Bros.’ Disaster Wedding and K-Pop: Lost In America. Marvel President Kevin Feige is producing the project.
It is clear that Marvel will kickoff Phase 6 with the Fantastic Four. In such a situation, the flick becomes even more important because it will directly connect to two of Marvel’s event films Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. In such a situation, the casting for the film can be announced soon in the coming time. It could be that ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ will see a cameo from Marvel’s first superhero family.
If rumours are to be believed, John Krasinski, who appeared in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic, is unlikely to return. It is believed that the studio may consider other names. Well, when the time comes, it will be clear who will play Mr. Fantastic, Human Torch, Invisible Woman and The Thing.
It is also worth noting that the Fantastic Four films released so far were rejected outright by the audience.
But now after things come under Marvel, fans are hoping for better. Because this time by not showing the origin of the superhero family, things will directly connect to the two big Avengers films. In such a situation, the additional burden of writing the story better increases on Marvel’s new writer pair Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.
Marvel’s Fantastic Four is schedule to release in theatres on February 14, 2025.
