Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson Starr Film ‘Marry Me’ Delays and More Details

‘Marry Me’ , this upcoming Universal Studio film get delayed. ‘Marry Me’, a romantic comedy film, starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson is delayed due to COVID-19. The film, ‘Marry Me’ was originally set to release this year on May 6, 2021. But for now, its releases date moves to 2022. The condition of theaters is very bad at this time. Due to the safety reasons that have been put in place by the governments regarding COVID-19, very few people are reaching to see the movie in the theater. That’s why Universal Studios has extended the film’s release date.

‘Marry Me’ film is based on novel by Bobby Crosby with same name ‘ Marry Me’. This film was announced in April 2019.

‘Marry Me’ film’s story revolves around a pop superstar Kat Valdez( Jennifer Lopez )who, moments before marrying her rock-star fiance ( Maluma ) at Madison Square Garden. Then, she finds out that he was cheating on her with her assistant and spontaneously melts down on the stage. Then, she picks a random guys for marriage and it was a divorced math teacher ( Owen Wilson ) out of the crowd to marry instead.

Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson have worked together before. They appeared together in the horror film Anaconda in 1997.

New Release Date of ‘Marry Me’

Now, ‘Marry Me’ film will hit theaters before Valentine’s Day. The film is set to release on February 11, 2022.

‘Marry Me’ film also featuring stars with Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson are, Brady Noon, Chloe Coleman, Maluma, John Bradley, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Stephen Wallem.  Kat Coiro is directing this romantic-comedy film. Screenplay is written by  John RogersHarper DillTami Sagher. Jennifer Lopez is also produced the film with Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina and John Rogers. The film is distributed worldwide by Universal Pictures.
