Apple Studio announced ‘Kitbag’, the Napoleon Bonaparte epic movie with OSCAR winning actor Joaquin Phoenix. Ridley Scott is all set to direct this movie.

Although, in Last October, according to some sources that revealed that Joaquin Phoenix and Ridley Scott are comes together again to making a making a movie. Screenplay of ‘Kitbag’ will be written by David Scarpa, who wrote the Ridley Scott directed Getty kidnap drama film All The Money in the World (2017). Mark Wahlberg play lead role in this movie. ‘Kitbag’ is produced by Apple, Ridley Scott and Kevin Walsh under Scott Free.

‘Kitbag’ Plot

The title of the Kitbag film is taken as “a normal worker is hidden in every soldier’s kitbag”. The story of this film will be based on Napoleon. Through the kitbag we will see the emergence of Napoleon and its fast, merciless to become emperor. The intention of the movie is to capture Napoleon’s famous battles, relentless ambition and astounding strategic mind as an extraordinary military leader and war visionary.

In an interview Ridley Scott said “Napoleon is someone I have always been thrilled with. He came out of nowhere to rule, he fought for his wife, conquered the world to win his love, and when he failed to do so, he conquered her to destroy him. And in this he destroyed himself”.

Although there were attempts to make a film on the subject of Napoleon earlier, one of them was Late Stanley Kubrick – but he could not do it. Ridley Scott’s mind wandering to Napoleon’s character for Kitbag was pretty easy. Because everyone has seen the ability of Phoenix. Now Scott is making a film on this subject. Scott and Phoenix have previously worked together in the Oscar-winning film Gladiator. Scott has realized Phoenix’s ability quite closely. That is why he had no problem in choosing Napoleon for the role.

Kitbag’s production will be begin in early 2022 in UK.
