Screenwriter Mattson Tomlin has revealed that the script work for BRZRKR, starring Keanu Reeves is complete.
Announced on Netflix with Keanu Reeves in March 2021, script work for BRZRKR based on the ‘BOOM’! comic series was completed. Screenwriter Mattson Tomlin, who attached with project in October, 2021 has revealed on social media that the script work of the film has been completed. In this context, the writer has shared the photo of the last page from the script on Twitter.
Mattson Tomlin has previously written Netflix’s sci-fi action flick, Project Power, starring Jamie Foxx. He is also associated with Netflix’s upcoming Terminator animated series as a showrunner and executive producer.
There is currently no director associated with Netflix’s ‘BRZRKR’, but it is expected that it will be confirmed soon in the coming time.
Apparently, ‘BRZRKR‘ comic was published by Keanu Reeves in July 2020, which he wrote with Matt Kindt, who is a New York Times bestselling graphic novelist with art by Ron Garney. Matt Kindt has been nominated for several Eisner Awards and Harvey Awards.
In addition to the featured film ‘BRZRKR’, an animated TV series is currently in development on Netflix. Keanu Reeves will also be seen voicing the main character in the animated series. Apart from acting, Keanu Reeves will also produce the film and anime version of ‘BRZRKR‘ with Ross Richie and Stephen Christy for ‘BOOM’..
Plot
Netflix’s BRZRKR film and animated series will follows a man, “Berzerker“, who is half-mortal and half-God. At the same time, Berzerker is known to sacrifice his chastity, despite being cursed and forced into violence. After wandering the world for centuries, Bezerker may eventually find refuge in the United States of America. He working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else. Release Date
The release for BRZRKR is not yet confirmed by Netflix. Obviously, the casting of the film is yet to start and the director has to be found as well.
Obviously Keanu Reeves is very busy at the moment, he has many projects at the moment. He will appear in Hulu’s Limited Series, ‘Devil in the White City’. Before that he will be seen in Lionsgate’s action thriller, John Wick: Chapter 4, the film will be released in theaters on March 24, 2023 and as well as in Chapter 5. Most recently, Warner Bros. has also announced Constantine 2 With Keanu Reeves and director Francis Lawrence.
