Mark Wahlberg To Star In ‘The Family Plan’ For Apple & Skydance

Mark Wahlberg to star in Apple Original and Skydance’ action-thriller, ‘The Family Plan‘, Simon Cellan Jones is directing.

It would not be wrong to say that Mark Wahlberg is currently one of the busiest actors. At present the actor has many big films. In this context, Wahlberg joins Apple and Skydance to play the lead role in the new action-thriller project, The Family Plan. Simon Cellan Jones of The One and Only will direct the film for Apple and Skydance. This will be Mark Wahlberg’s second film with Simon Cellan Jones. Currently both are busy in Arthur the King. Script for the upcoming action thriller has been penned by David Coggeshall. Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson of Municipal Pictures will produce the project. In addition, David Ellison of Skydance will also produce the film with Dana Goldberg and Don Granger.

Mark Wahlberg’s new action packed flick The Family Plan will tells the story of a suburban dad who must take his family on the run when his past catches up to him.

Clearly, the year is going well for Mark Wahlberg. Actor has given one of the best performance of his career in most recently released Sony’s biographical drama feature, Father Stu. Mark has previously made fans crazy as Victor “Sully” Sullivan in Sony’s video game adaptation, Uncharted starring Tom Holland. Uncharted, directed by Ruben Fleischer, grossed over $400 million at the box office. Due to the positive response received by the film, the studio may announce the sequel in the near future.

Mark Wahlberg will next seen opposite Kevin Hart in the Netflix’s comedy flick, Me Time. Film is schedule to release on streaming platform on August 26, 2022. Mark would later appear in the adventure feature Arthur the King, based on Mikael Lindnord’s nonfiction book Arthur: The Dog Who Crossed The Jungle To Find A Home. The film will also star Simu Liu ( Barbie ) opposite him. Later, he will next seen in Netflix’s action thriller, Our Man from Jersey. Halle Berry and J.K. Simmons are also stars in the film.
