Mishael Morgan Made History By Winning Daytime Emmy Award In Lead Actress Category

Mishael Morgan made history as she won Daytime Emmy Award In Lead Actress category for her outstanding performance in CBS’s TV soap opera, The Young and the Restless.

It is said that whatever is written in fate is definitely available, actress Mishael Morgan has proved this proverb to be true. Mishael Morgan made history today when she became the first Black Actress to win a Daytime Emmy Award. Actress won this award for her outstanding performance in the CBS TV soap opera, The Young and the Restless. Mishael Morgan plays Amanda Sinclair in The Young and the Restless.

On winning the award, Mishael Morgan says passionately that, “I was born on a tiny island, Trinidad and Tobago, in the Caribbean and I’m now standing on an international stage and I am being honored regardless of the color of my skin, regardless of my passport, for being the best at what I do.”

She continuous, “Now there are little girls around the world and no matter what the industry, the vocation… they can strive to be the best. I need to thank the fans and everybody sitting at home.”

“They embraced me when I came on this show and I am so immensely proud of our generation. We are breaking glass ceilings left, right and center and I am so honored to be a vessel and to experience this moment. Everyday out there today, we can do this called equality and unity together”, she adds.

Apparently Mishael Morgan was associated with The Young and the Restless show as Hilary Curtis in 2013. But, she was pulled out in 2018 due to unsuccessful contract negotiations. Then a year later she returned to Show as Hilary’s twin sister, Amanda.

It is also worth noting that Mishael Morgan was nominated twice in the year 2018-19 for The Young and the Restless, Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
