Emma Broyles, representing Alaska, has been crowned Miss America 2021.
Emma Broyles, who hails from Anchorage, Alaska, was declared the winner on the 100th anniversary of Miss America, which started with the Atlantic City beauty pageant in 1921. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary, Emma’s name was recorded in golden letters in history. In this context, Emma Broyles was crowned the centenary for her victory in the competition. Apart from this, a college scholarship of $104,000 has also been given for the 20 year old model.
Obviously, the Miss America 2021 event was postponed in 2020 due to the Covid-19 crisis. The event was broadcast on NBC’s streaming channel, Peacock.
When in the final round of the competition, Emma was asked what she would do if a male representative of a major sponsor made inappropriate remarks or sexual relations with her. Emma Broyles answered this question with great impunity. She said that” I am real. I have flaws, I have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, I have dermatillomania. Woman like me who have ADHD are often never diagnosed.” She continuous, “I know my heart well as a woman, I would never allow anyone to treat me like that, because women should never be treated like objects.”
Apparently Emma Broyles, who attended Service High School. Also she is the first Miss Alaska to have won the Miss America crown. The model won the Miss Alaska crown in June this year.
Emma Broyles is currently a junior honors student at Arizona State University. She is studying Biomedical Science in the university. Along with modeling, Emma Broyles also actively participates in social work. The model has also worked for handicapped people with disabilities, including her own brother who had Down syndrome, who became a Special Olympics athlete 12 years ago today.
