MODOK’s First Look From Ant-Man 3 Revealed In New Merch

Funko Pop drops villain MODOK’s first look from Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

The first design of the villain MODOK, who is going to debut in the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse, has been released online by the Funko Pop toy company. Apparently, Kang the Conqueror isn’t the only villain in Ant-Man 3 that Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang will have to overcome, but the film will also feature long-awaited villain MODOK, which the studio confirmed last year.

Although MODOK‘s first look that has been released is just a design for now, but it also manages to pique the curiosity to its peak for the film. It’s also worth noting that some lucky fans have caught glimpses of the MCU’s super villain during the past Comic-Con and D23 Expo events, which have yet to be released publicly.

Although MODOK is different from the comics in the first look in Merch, but how it will be in the film, it will be known after the release.

Who Is MODOK?

In the Marvel Comics book MODOK is the supervillain identity taken on by George Tarleton, meaning “Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing”.

Corey Stoll’s Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket is also returning in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, who was banished to the quantum realm by our hero at the end of the film. He may have shrunk in the quantum realm to become MODOK, it’s not officially clear yet, it’s just a fan theory for now. Bill Murray, rumored to be playing another villain, Krylar. Rumor has it that actor Jim Carrey is also in line to play MODOK in the film.

The film’s story will follow the Ant-Man family who are trapped in the quantum realm by an experiment gone wrong with Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie (Kathryn Newton). In this context, Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror sets a bet for Ant-Man to escape the Quantum Realm: he must commit a heist. Not much is known about the story yet.

Peyton Reed directs the film from the screenplay by Jeff Loveness. Kevin Feige and Stephen Broussard has produced the project.

Release Date

Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is schedule to release in theaters on February 17, 2023.
