It is clear that it is the 12th day of Russia’s war with Ukraine, due to which countries around the world are strongly criticizing Russia. As a result, almost all countries are pulling back on trade with Russia. In this context, the largest streaming platform Netflix has also suspended its services in Russia. Apparently the streaming platform has less than 1 million subscribers in Russia.

In this context, Netflix spokesperson says that, “Looking at the ground reality, we have decided that we are going to stop our services in Russia immediately.”

Obviously, Netflix has already stopped the production work of all the projects related to Russia. In this context, Netflix has also stopped production of Russian spy thriller TV series Zato, which was directed by Darya Zhuk and Stanislav Libin. Apart from this, there are three more projects including Anna K which is based on Leo Tolstoy’s classic novel Anna Karenina, whose production has already been wrapped. There is no update on what will happen with this project in the future.

Previously, Netflix has also refused to carry 20 Russian free-to-air propaganda channels that it was required to host under Russian law.

Netflix is reportedly the fifth largest company after Microsoft, Apple, Dell, and Nike which has dealt a big blow to Russia. Apart from this, TikTok has also suspended its service in Russia citing the safety of its employees.

It is clear that Ukraine has suffered a lot in the attack by Russia, due to which millions of refugees continue to flee. In the last twelve days, Russia has caused great destruction in Ukraine, whether it is about life or goods. Apparently the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is pushing mankind towards the World War III.
