Nightmare Alley Film Plot

del Toro has directed Nightmare Alley and co-wrote the film with Kim Morgan, which is based on William Lindsay Gresham’s 1946 novel with same name, Nightmare Alley.

Guillermo del Toro’s Nightmare Alley will follow the world of carnival hustlers and thieves, featuring a mentalist Stanton Carlisle (Bradley Cooper) who specializes in manipulating and defrauding people. In this, Stanton Carlisle will be seen supporting Cate Blanchett’s psychiatrist Dr. Lilith Ritter. She is more dangerous than Shanton Carlisle is. Based on the trailer, Nightmare Alley looks pretty promising.

The director also made it clear that no supernatural element has been added to the film. In the trailer it appears that we will get to see the supratunateral element temper, but it is not so? Maybe that character is a gimmick of Shanton and Dr. Lilith Ritter.

According to Variety, director Guillermo del Toro has made it clear that the story of Nightmare Alley is going to be very dark. Also, this film is also R-rated, this is clearly visible from the first teaser trailer.
