Lindsey Beer is all set to write and direct Paramount’s 1999’s classic horror Sleepy Hollow reboot.
Paramount Studios is currently working on a reboot of the 1999 classic horror Sleepy Hollow starring Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci. In this context, the studio hired Lindsay Beer to write and direct a reboot of the classic horror. Broken Road Production’s Todd Garner and Spencer Walken will produce the film for Paramount.
Also, for the time being there is no confirmation of the star cast in the reboot. Sleepy Hollow is currently in its early stages on Paramount.
What will be the story of the reboot of Sleepy Hollow is not yet known. Of course, the story of the original film follows Johnny Depp’s Ichabod Crane who is sent to New York City to investigate a series of murders committed by the Headless Horseman.
Obviously, 1999’s Sleepy Hollow, directed by Tim Burton, was a huge hit. Apart from Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci, Christopher Walken and Casper Van Dien also star in the film. The film earned $207 million worldwide at the box office from a budget of $70 million.
Sleepy Hollow reboot is the second longest jump in Lindsay Beer’s career. Clearly, she is already making her directorial debut with the Paramount Studios prequel to Pet Sematary. Pet Sematary is produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura ( Snake Eyes ). Pet Sematary featuring stars Jackson White, Jack Mulhern, Forrest Goodluck, Natalie Alyn Lind and Isabella Star LaBlanc in lead roles. Film is expected to release this year.
Simultaneously, Lindsay is working as a writer on the latest installment of Star Trek. She is also associated with the Jeff Rowe’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ‘Untitled’ film as a writer and is also writing the story of Disney’s remake of Bambi. Overall, Lindsay Beer is going to be very busy for the next 3 or 4 years.
