The Boys’ Anthony Starr is arrested in Spain after a drunken attack when the actor beats a young chef.
Kiwi actor Anthony Starr seems to be living his real life as a Homelander too. Actor Anthony, who plays the lead character in Amazon’s signature TV series The Boys, suffered a setback when a court in the Spanish city of Alicante sentenced him during a hearing. The case is of Spain, where on Wednesday, Anthony Starr, while intoxicated, punched a chef twice and smashed a glass in his face.
Police and emergency services were called to Alicante’s pub soon after the incident. The 21-year-old chef informed the local police about the assault on him. The actor was immediately arrested and produced before the court for a speedy trial, where he was sentenced to 12 months in prison. The court also made it clear that if the actor is to be saved from going to jail, he will have to pay £4000 to the victim.
After the incident, there was an allegation on Anthony that he was threatening to be an actor. He was shouting saying, “You don’t know who you have messed with. You don’t know who I am and what you have done”.
Later, victim was admitted to a local hospital where she received four stitches on her face.
Obviously, Anthony Starr has been well received by the audience for his character Homelander in The Boys TV series. Anthony has won the Critics’ Choice Super Award in the Best Actor in a Superhero Series and Best Villain in a Series categories for his portrayal of Homelander. Anthony Staar has also been highly praised for his Lucas Hood character in Cinemax’s Banshee TV series.
Apparently, these days Anthony Starr is in Spain to shoot for his upcoming Guy Ritchie’s action-thriller Untitled film. Jake Gyllenhaal is also with him in the film. Later, Anthony Starr will next seen in Samuel Bodin’s horror thriller, ‘Cobweb’.
Anthony Starr will now be seen in Amazon’s The Boys Season 3. The Boys season 3 is set to premiere on June 3, 2022 on Amazon Prime Video.
