South African actress and model, Charlbi Dean dies at the age of 32.
Famous South African model actress, Charlbi Dean has passed away at the age of 32. According to the actress’s representative, Charlbi Dean died due to an unexpected and sudden illness in New York City hospital on Monday.
It is also very strange that this news came out when the actress got engaged to boyfriend Luke Chase Volker 4 months back in the same city, where actress died. Charlbi Dean and her boyfriend Luke Chase Volker, a model by profession, were dating for the past 4 years.
Charlbi Dean Kriek was born on February 5, 1990 in Cape Town. She started her film career with the South African film, Spud based on John van de Ruit’s novel with same name. Death Race 3: Inferno, which came in 2013, was the actress’s first Hollywood film. The actress later went on to star in The CW‘s superhero series, Black Lightning, based on DC Comics Books. Apart from this, the actress has also worked in the films Don’t Sleep and An Interview with God.
Also Charlbi Dean was also a successful model. The actress has more than 200k followers on Instagram.
Apparently, Charlbi Dean’s upcoming film Triangle of Sadness premiered at the 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, where the film was highly praised. Woody Harrelson, Harris Dickinson ( The Iron Claw ) stars opposite Charlbi Dean in Triangle of Sadness, the dark comedy directed by Ruben Östlund. Film is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States on October 7, 2022.
Apart from fiance Luke Chase Volker, Charlbi Dean is also survived by her beloved parents, Johan and Joanne Kriek, as well as her brother Alexi Jacobs Kriek.
