Vin Diesel is looking forward to his Fast & Furious franchise co-star Dwayne Johnson returning for the film series finale.
After The Fate of the Furious, Dwayne Johnson left the franchise due to a feud, as well as Jason Statham. Since then, both the actors had folded that now they will never share the screen again in future. This led the studio to create a Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw ( 2019 ) featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
But now it looks like Dwayne Johnson may once again join the original star cast of the franchise as Luke Hobbs. In this context, Vin Diesel has posted a heart touching post about Dwayne Johnson on his social media account Instagram on Sunday.
Diesel writes that, “My little brother Dwayne, the time has come. The world is waiting for the conclusion of Fast 10. As you know, my kids refer to you in my house as Uncle Dwayne. There is no such holiday that they and you do not send wishes … But the time has come. The legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to keep my promise to Pablo.”
He continued. “I swore we would reach and reveal the best fast in the finale of 10! I say it with love… but you have to show, don’t leave the franchise unattended, you have a very important role to play. Hobbes cannot be played by anyone else. I hope you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny”.
Universal’s recent release ‘F9: The Fast Saga’ of the Fast & Furious franchise has performed well at the box office amid the Covid crisis. The film has done business of around $721 million at the worldwide box office.
The release date of Fast & Furious 10 is set for April 7, 2023.
However, Dwayne Johnson has not yet responded to this post by Vin Diesel. Director Justin Lin has also expressed his desire to return Hobbs and Shaw, both characters from the franchise, for the final two films of the series.
Well, fans of the franchise are also eagerly waiting for these two characters to join ‘Fast and Furious 10 & 11’. Because Hobbs and Shaw have become two important characters in the franchise, it would be unfair to end the Fast & Furious film series without them.
