The first season of Amazon's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series, based on the epic novel by J. R. R. Tolkien, has concluded.

Amazon's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season finale unravels the identities of the two main characters from J. R. R. Tolkien's epic.

Fans were curious to know who Sauron is from the first episode of The Rings of Power, with many characters being suspicious throughout the season.

Fans initially mistook Daniel Weyman's Stranger as Sauron, which was also teased in the season finale of The Rings of Power.

During the Rings of Power season, fans also mistook Joseph Mawle's Adar / Oren as Sauron and as well as Markella Kavenagh's Elanor.

But Season 1 of Amazon's The Rings of Power sets up  Daniel Weyman's Stranger as Gandalf.

On the other hand, the finale episode of Amazon's The Rings of Power Season 1 establishes Charlie Vickers' Halbrand as Sauron.

Clearly, Halbrand, the character of Charlie Vickers in The Rings of Power series, has been skeptical from the start because the character does not exist in J. R. R. Tolkien's novel.

Although it is not yet entirely clear whether Daniel Weyman's Stranger is Gandalf. May be it official confirmed in The Rings of Pwer Season 2.

Season 1 of Amazon's The Rings of Power series ends on a big cliffhanger that sparks excitement for Season 2.

Filming for season 2 of Amazon's The Rings of Power is currently underway in the United Kingdom.

Obviously the opening episode of Amazon's The Rings of Power disappointed viewers.

But the last few episodes have shown that Amazon's The Rings of Power cannot be ignored at any cost.

Galadriel's fight against  Sauron is set to continue in Middle-Earth in Season 2 of The Rings of Power.

Amazon hasn't set a release date for The Rings of Power Season 2 yet but expects the series to drop by mid-2024 on Prime Video.
