One of Hollywood's most versatile actors, Robert De Niro will once again be seen as the bad guy.

Goodfellas actor Robert De Niro will play the lead role in Warner Bros' upcoming gangster drama Wise Guys.

78-years-old actor, Robert De Niro will be seen playing a double role in Warner Bros' upcoming gangster drama Wise Guys.

Warner Bros gangster drama Wise Guys will be directed by Barry Levinson, who is best known for 1988's Dustin Hoffman & Tom Cruise starrer  road drama, Rain Man

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros.' Wise Guys film's story follows Italian American crime bosses Vito Genovese and Frank Costello. 

During 1957, Vito Genovese tried ( and failed ) to assassinate Frank Costello, who was ultimately injured and attempted to retire from mafia. 

It is believed that Robert De Niro will portray both Vito Genovese and Frank Costello in the film.

Irwin Winkler will produce Warner Bros.'s Wise Guys. Winkler has previously produced Sylvester Stallone's Rocky and Goodfellas.

Robert De Niro will return as gangster to Warner Bros' Wise Guys after Netflix's The Irishman.

Prior to this, Robert De Niro has appeared as a gangster in the best crime drama The Godfather Part II and Goodfellas ever made.

Robert De Niro will next seen in period mystery comedy, Amsterdam. Chris Rock is also star in film, which is schedule to release on October 7, 2022.

Later, Robert De Niro will next seen alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in western crime drama, Killers of the Flower Moon. Film is expected to release somewhere in 2023. 

Further, Robert De Niro will also appear in  drama thriller, Wash Me in the River. 

Then, Robert De Niro will also appear in Lionsgate's comedy flick, About My Father.
