Jon Watts will no longer direct Marvel's upcoming superhero film Fantastic Four.

Apparently, Marvel Studios decided to reboot Fantastic Four in December 2020 with director Jon Watts.

Although Marvel had given the Fantastic Four series the first hit film under Fox Studios in 2005, which was not a part of MCU. .

Marvel rebooted the film in 2015 to bring the Fantastic Four into the MCU's main timeline.

However, Marvel's new 2015 Fantastic Four failed miserably at the box office.

But now, the Spider-Man: No Way Home director is pulling back on Marvel's new Fantastic Four.

There is no resentment behind this, rather Jon Watts is taking a break from films for some time.

Clearly, Jon Watts has most recently delivered the biggest blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home movie of all time for Sony.
