David Zaslav, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, wants to focus on the larger franchise.

During Warner Bros' Q3 earnings call, David Zaslav said that Harry Potter has the potential that J. K. Rowling will do something to continue franchise.

Also David Zaslav believes that the rights to Lord of the Rings are still with Warner Bros so they can make more films.

8 films of the Harry Potter series have earned $7.7 billion worldwide at the box office, while their combined budget was $1.2 billion.

Lord of the Rings, on the other hand, is the second franchise that has been the most profitable for Warner Bros.

Obviously, the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogy by Harry Potter and Peter Jackson were well received by the audience globally.

Also David Zaslav gave an example of Game of Thrones, due to the immense success of which the House of the Dragon series became possible today.

David Zaslav has clarified that Warner Bros. will now focus on expanding the content that is loved by audiences in the USA as well as globally.

Currently on Warner Bros. J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts, prequel to  Harry Potter , continues.

Now the chances have increased that Warner Bros may announce another film series from Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings in the near future.
