Chris Hemsworth best known for playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is taking a break from acting for a while.

Chris Hemsworth has decided to take a break from acting due to the increasing risk of Alzheimer's.

In such a situation, the sword may hang on the future of Chris Hemsworth's Thor in the MCU.

Now it looks like Chris Hemsworth's recent statement may turn out to be true when the actor said that Thor may die in the next MCU appearance

But now the question has arisen on the next appearance of Chris Hemsworth as Thor in the MCU.

Because Chris Hemsworth revealed that he has a genetic predisposition  for Alzheime disease, making him up to 10 times likely to suffer.

As such, Hemsworth's chances of appearing as Thor in Marvel's two event films Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars are slim.

If Chris Hemsworth gets rid of Alzheimer's disease in time, then he can appear in both the big Marvel movies.

It is obvious that it would be futile to imagine Avengers: Secret Wars without Thor, as several variants of the God of Thunder from different Earths were seen in the comics.

Chris Hemsworth last seen as Thor in MCU in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Beyond Marvel Cinematic Universe, Chris Hemsworth will next seen in Netflix's action-thriller, Extraction 2.

Chris Hemsworth's Extraction 2 is expected to premiere on Netflix sometimes   in the spring or summer of 2023.

Later, Chris Hemsworth will next seen  Anya Taylor-Joyin post-apocalytic  action thriller, Furiosa, directed by George Miller.

Warner Bros,' Furiosa will be a prequel to 2015's Mad Max: Fury Road. Film is schedule to release in theaters on May 24, 2024.
