Arguably, James Cameron's original 2009 film Avatar is the most blockbuster of all time, no doubt about it.

Whatever it was, the experience audiences had with James Cameron's 2009 Avatar was just amazing.

Excellent story, better presentation and fresh experience made James Cameron's Avatar the biggest blockbuster, earning $2 .84billion at the box from a budget of $237 million.

After the trailer of the sequel, the question arises whether James Cameron's Avatar 2 will live up to the expectations.

There is also a perception that if the original film turns out to be a big blockbuster, the responsibility for the sequel increases and there is a risk of error.

Also the sequel Avatar: The Way of Water took about 12 or 13 years to come out, which is a very long gap.

It is a very difficult task for the sequel to maintain the interest among the audience during the gap of so many years.

Obviously , during these intervening years we've seen movies with completely unique content like Avatar , like Warner Bros 's Aquaman and Marvel 's ShangChi .

This puts an additional burden on the studio, and especially on director James Cameron, after all, what new will they serve with Avatar: The Way of Water.

The film faced many setbacks and delays as well as it took time as James Cameron needed the right technique to capture the underwater motion.

Studio and director James Cameron's effort is clearly visible in the first teaser trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water, with a superb underwater scene with great screenplay.

So we expect Avatar: The Way of Water to emerge as a big blockbuster like the original, or else the future of the upcoming projects will be ruined.

Because 20th Century Studios has signed a five-film deal with director James Cameron, including the original film and The Way of Water.

James Cameron's Avatar 2 (Avatar: The Way of Water) is scheduled to release in theatres on December 16, 2022
