Slap Incident at the Oscars is now echoing in Will Smith's ear instead of Chris Rock's.

Will Smith slapped actor and stand-up comedian Chris Rock during the 94th Academy Awards ceremony.

Obviously, during the Oscars event, Chris Rock made fun of Will Smith's wife Jada Pinkett Smith, which Will did not like.

Apparently, Will Smith has already been banned from the Oscars for 10 years after the slap incident and also the actor's upcoming projects have been postponed or pushed back.

In such a situation, Will Smith's upcoming Apple TV+ action drama Emancipation has been delayed from 2022 to 2023.

It is also worth noting that the release of Will Smith's Emancipation was not scheduled by Apple Studios.

Emancipation is directed by Antoine Fuqua, who previously directed Training Day and The Equalizer series with Denzel Washington.

According to an anonymous filmmaker, Will Smith's performance in Emancipation is stellar that could win him back to back Oscars

Clearly, Will Smith has won the Oscar for King Richards of 2021 and would have been a major contender for Emancipation for the second time in a row.

Apart from Emancipation, Will Smith will next seen in Warner Bros' I Am Legend 2 alongside with Michael B. Jordan

Will Smith's action-thriller, Emancipation is expected to release by mid-2023 on Apple TV+.
