Sony Picture has set a release date for their upcoming crime drama film. Directed by Olivia Newman, ‘Where The Crawdads Sing‘ film will be released in summer next year.
Sony’s ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ film is based on the best selling novel by Delia Owens with same name. Where The Crawdads Sing novel has topped The New York Times Fiction Best Sellers of 2019 and its success continues for a combined 32 non-consecutive weeks.

‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ film featuring stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Garrett Dillahunt, David Strathairn, Taylor John Smith, Harris Dickinson, and Michael Hyatt as playing the main characters. The script of the film is written by Lucy Alibar for Sony Pictures. Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter are producing the film, ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ for Hello Sunshine Media Company. Jon Wu, Rhonda Fehr and Betsy Danbury are serving as executive producer.

Where The Crawdads Sing Film Plot
Film’s story set in Mid-20th century. Sony Picture’s upcoming epic crime drama will follows a young woman, Kya ( Daisy Edgar-Jones ). She raised herself in the marshes outside of her small town, after being abandoned by her family. Because Her father is an alcoholic, though Kya also has to go through physical abuse. Meanwhile another mountain of trouble breaks over Kya. Her former boyfriend is found dead, this makes this matter the center of discussion in the city.
The story of the film forces to think Kya even in reality life. The film’s story will shed light on serious matters like domestic violence, physical abuse, crime, a woman’s struggle towards society.

This Sony Picture’s epic crime drama film, ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ is set to release next year on June 24, 2022 in theaters. ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ film will be competed by the untitled Transformers film by Paramount Pictures. Paramount Pictures’ Untitled Transformers film stars Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback as the main characters.
