Warner Bros and DC’s The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves, got less buzz as compared to other projects, believe it or not it’s a bitter truth. Robert Pattinson’ The Batman is almost a week away from release. But there seems to be no enthusiasm among DC fans for the film, it’s a pity. Although it looks quite promising.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that currently the buzz for any other DCEU project is The Batman, be it Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam Ezra Miller’s The Flash. There are many reasons behind this, let’s talk about them.

Matt Reeves’s The Batman exists in another alternate Universe. It has nothing to do with the main timeline of DCEU. In this way, it reduces the excitement towards the film. Unless the fans get to see some Easter eggs or cameos, their interest in the film wanes. Ever wondered why Marvel became the world’s most successful superhero franchise, as each of their projects features ester eggs and cameos that keep fans excited about upcoming TV shows be it movies.

Now that Warner Bros. is about to reboot its universe, fans are hesitant to join Robert Pattinson’s Batman. Fans know that some other actor will play this role in the future. Apparently there are rumors that Ezra Miller’s The Flash will wipe out Superman and Batman.

Not so with Matt Reeves’ The Batman, we don’t even see a cameo here or Ester Eggs. In such a situation, it is natural for the film to have less gossip. If we knew that Robert Pattison’s The Batman could see Black Adam, Wonder Woman or Superman, then the hype of the film would be in seventh heaven. That’s why fans have little inclination for The Batman. So The Batman not being in a Collective Universe is the biggest downside for it.

Why We Should Support ‘The Batman’?

Warner Bros.’ The Batman could be the underdog film of 2022. 2019’s Joaquin Phoenix starring Joker is its biggest example. Joker also existed in a different alternate universe like The Batman. Joker become most profitable comic film ever. The film earned $1.074 billion at the box office from a budget of only $55 million. The film grossed almost 20 times its budget, which is the highest in any comic book adaptation till date.

Second, Matt Reeves’ The Batman will give us new content that hasn’t been seen yet, whether if it is Christopher Nolan‘s Dark Knight Trilogy. Warner Bros has made 6 standalone films about Batman so far like Michael Keaton, George Clooney, Val Kilmer, Robert Lawery, Ben Affleck and Christian Bale with same story. But Matt Reeves’ superhero flick offers us something different. For the first time, we will see Batman as a detective. Paul Dano’s Riddler seems to be overshadowed by Robert Pattinson without showing the other’s face also Colin Farrell’s Penguin looks quite promising.

So we should support this Batman from Matt Reeves.
