Actress Zawe Ashton has been confirmed for the ‘Captain Marvel 2’ film.
A new star cast has been confirmed for MCU’s upcoming movie Captain Marvel 2. According to some reports, Zawe Ashton will play the lead villain in Captain Marvel 2. Zawe Ashton will be seen competing with Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel 2 movie. Nia DaCosta has been tapped as director of the movie. Nia DaCosta, who recently directed the anticipated reboot of Candyman. Although, Candyman movie have not yet been released due to Covid-19.Candyman movie is schedule to release this year on August 27, 2021.

Megan McDonnell, who is a story editor of the series WandaVision, has written the script of Captain Marvel 2 movie. At the moment, it is unclear as to what role Zawe Ashton will play in the movie ‘Captain Marvel 2’. But some sources state that she has been roped in as the main villain. As we know, In all Marvel movies, there is always a chance the another antagonist may remain hidden till the very end of the movie. Zawe Ashton is best known for Netflix’s art satire movie Velvet Buzzsaw, which came in 2019. She is also seen on Web Series Fresh Meat and also seen in Tom Ford’s thriller Noctural Animals and the psychological horror movie Greta.

Captain Marvel’s box office collection was $1.1 billion.
