Who Is Kang the Conqueror?
Kang the Conqueror was first introduced to Marvel Comics in 1963 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in Comic, Rama-Tut: Fantastic Four #19. Kang’s story is one of the most intriguing in the Marvel comics books. Time travels, multiple time lines and its many variants are all part of his story. But we will understand his story in a basic way and not in a confusing way.
The story of Kang begins in the future, i.e. in the 31st century after 1000 thousand years from today. Nathaniel Richards has a direct connection to the character Reed Richards of Marvel Comics Books Fantastic Four. That is, he is a descendant of Reed Richards, but Kang is unaware of this. But there have also been some incidents in the comic books that prove that he can also be a descendant of Doctor Doom. Not only us, Kang himself does not even know this.
That’s why Nathaniel Richards started digging up his past to find out his existence. First he started research on his Sir name Richards. He found out about the superheroes of Earth 616 as well as Doctor Doom. During this time he got an Abandoned Fort, which belonged to his ancestor, where Nathaniel Richards also got a time machine. He recreated the time machine and traveled to Ancient Egypt. Here Nathaniel Richards changed his identity and took all of Egypt under his control. Then he became the new Pharoah Rama-Tut of Egypt. He was like a god to the people of Egypt.

How Nathaniel Richards Becomes, Kang the Conqueror?
After some time Nathaniel realized that he is in the time where there is a mutant child En Sabah Nur, which would later become Apocalypse. He tried to take En Sabah Nur with him to his time line, but at the same time the Fantastic Four team reached there by traveling time. Nathaniel lost to the team of Fantastic Four in the fight. Because Nathaniel was not a superhuman, his strength was just his future technology at that time. Remember, he had not yet become Kang the conqueror from Nathaniel Richards.
After being defeated, Nathaniel tries to move his time line to the 31st century. But due to a glitch in the time machine, he falls into the current time line, where the Avengers, Fantastic Four and Doctor Doom are all there. This is where he meets Doctor Doom, there is a long conversation between the two. Inspired by Doctor Doom, Nathelian creates a new identity for the Scarlet Centurion. But he again loses badly to the team of Avengers and Fantastic Four. He tries once again through the time machine to go back to his time in the 31st century. But this time also he fails, he reaches 1000 years ahead of his original time line in 40th Century.

After arriving in the 40th century, Nathaniel sees that the whole world is engaged in war, that too with weapons that are not from his time line but from the past. No one knows how to use these old technology weapons in the 40th century except Nathaniel , because he came from the past. From here, using technology, he updates himself and makes armor for himself. Due to which he makes the whole earth of the 40th century the conqueror. From this he creates another new identity of his own, Kang the Conqueror. Even after this, he did not stop, taking advantage of time travel, he conquered the entire galaxy. But there was such a galaxy between War and Battles, who was dying himself.
The story is not as easy as it sounds, it is very confusing. There is so much time travel in the next story of this character, which is called Master of Time. Due to this much time travel, it also has many alternate versions. According to the comics books, when he is defeated by the Avengers, he travels into the past to tell his younger version how he will become Kang in the future. He would also give an armor to his younger version. Because he wants Younger Nathaniel to reach his destination even earlier.
But Young Nathaniel starts hating himself after seeing his future. He escapes by attacking Kang and using time travel. He takes the title of Iron Lad and becomes a superhero instead of Kang. Iron Lad’s character found a place in Marvel Comics in 2005 in Young Avengers #1. But this is not the end of the story, later he takes the title of Immortus. But he cannot run away from his fate. Eventually in the 40th century he becomes what he ran from, Kang the Conqueror.
Now it will be interesting to see how Marvel Studios will present this comic book’s villain character in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania film.
Powers
Although Marvel’s Nathaniel Richards is not a super human, like ‘Captain America , Hulk , Thor . But he is able to face the Avengers with his technology and time travel ability. He has expertise in time travel. He is excellent at hand to hand combat. Though, he has highly advanced battle armor that grants Enhanced strength, Energy, hologram and force-field projection. Lastly we can say that Kang the Conqueror has Marvel to fulfill Thanos‘s option as a villain.
