Daughter Willow is feeling proud when father Will Smith apologizes to Chris Rock on social media.
A few days ago, actor Will Smith publicly apologized to Chris Rock over the Oscars slap on social media. But, now Will Smith’s daughter Willow has reacted to the Oscar slap. In an interview given to Billboard, Willow Smith defend her father and says that, “Didn’t Rock me as much as my own internal demons. I see my whole family as being human, and I love and accept them for their humanness.”
She continues, “Because of the position that we’re in, our humanness sometimes isn’t accepted, and we’re expected to act in a way that isn’t conducive to a healthy human life and isn’t conducive to being honest.”
Apparently, stand-comedian Chris Rock made a funny comment on Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett during the 94th Academy Awards event in March. Angered Smith slapped Chris Rock on stage during the ongoing award event. As a result of the incident, Will Smith was banned by the Oscars committee for 10 years from attending event.
Then, later Will Smith was in trouble when the actor’s career came to an end. Apparently the actor’s upcoming project has been put on hold indefinitely. To save his sinking career, Will Smith took to social media last month to apologize to Chris Rock. Apologizing on Instagram, Will Smith said in the video that, “He is deeply remorseful for his actions and his behavior was unacceptable.”
