The first images of Amazon‘s The Lord of the Rings TV series based on the fantasy world have been revealed. Amazon has also announced the premiere date of the series as well. Obviously, the production of the series has recently been wrapped, which was being shot in Auckland, New Zealand.

The Lord of the Rings series was produced by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay as well as showrunners. They are serving as executive producers along with Callum Greene, Lindsey Weber, J.A. Bayona ( Who is director as well ), Belen Atienza, Justin Doble, Jason Cahill, Gennifer Hutchison, Bruce Richmond and Sharon Tal Yguado. Wayne Che Yip is also serving as co-executive producer and director. Charlotte Brandstrom is also serving as director. Christopher Newman is the producer of the series.

The Lord Of The Rings TV Series Plot

The Lord of the Rings story will be based on JRR Tolkein’s novel, which was followed by Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit trilogy More About the Story of Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings TV Series not known. While the official title of the series has not been finalized yet. The story of the series will be set in the Second Age of Middle Earth, thousands of years before the events of The Lord of the Rings film series.

Maybe the story of the series is based on events after The Hobbit or before. Because as Bilbo says, “Now I feel like I’m all set to go on another journey”.

Release Date

Amazon’s The Lord Of The Rings series Season 1 is set to premiere on September 2, 2022 on Amazon Prime Video. The series will be released on the lines of The Boys . Meaning new episodes of the series will be released every Friday.

Apparently, the production of Season 1 of The Lord of the Rings started in February last year. But the production of the series was stopped only after the crisis of Covid-19 emerged around the world. But now the production of season 1 has been completed.
