‘Andor’ Review: Critics Highly Praise Star Wars Series In Early Reactions

Disney+ and Lucasfilms’ Star Wars series ‘Andor‘ starring Diego Luna has received a lot of praise from critics in its initial reactions.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘s prequel ‘Andor‘ is just days away from premiering on Disney+. Diego Luna returns to reprise the role of Cassian Andor in the series from 2016’s Rogue One. Actor is also the executive producer of the series with Sanne Wohlenberg, Tony Gilroy and Kathleen Kennedy. Apart from Diego Luna, Genevieve O’Reilly is also returning to reprise her role as Mon Mothma as well Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera. Series also featuring stars Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw with among others.

The first 4 episodes of the series were shown to critics before the premiere. Based on these four episodes, critics have called Andor a best series in the Star Wars Universe to date. According to critics, Andor seems to be very close reality. Also the location and characters seem real. They feels that the franchise needs to go ahead with the series in the future. The series comes with a better story and the characters have been developed properly. According to the critics, Andor has been made in a completely different way than the Star Wars films and TV series so far, which is going to be very pleasing to the audience.

Disney+’s Andor is set five years before the events of Rogue One. The story of the series follows an ensemble cast of characters from a time when a rebel alliance is forming in opposition to the Galactic Empire. One of these characters is Cassian Andor, a thief who turns revolutionary and eventually joins the rebellion.

Disney+ series Andor season 1 will consist of 12 episodes written by Tony Gilroy, Dan Gilroy, Beau Willimon and Stephen Schiff. Toby Haynes, Susanna White and Benjamin Caron are the directors of the series.
