Jacob Lofland Joins Warner Bros & DC’s Joker 2

Jacob Lofland, who is best known for Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials joins Warner Bros’ and DC’s, Joker 2, which official titled is, Joker: Folie à Deux.

26-year-old actor, Jacob Lofland has made the longest jump of his career. He will be seen playing a pivotal role in Warner Bros and DC’s psychological thriller, Joker 2. Clearly, the work on the Joker sequel, the most profitable of all time for Warner Bros., is in full swing. Presently the casting process for the film is also going on in full swing.

Recently, Oscar nominee actress Catherine Keener and Brendan Gleeson joined Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga in Joker 2. Joaquin Phoenix is returning to reprise his role as Joker aka Arthur Fleck in sequel. Lady Gaga is expected to play Arthur Fleck’s love interest Harley Quinn in the sequel. As for Jacob Lofland, he will play an inmate at the Arkham asylum who develops a relationship with Arthur Fleck, aka Joker in sequel. It is not yet known what roles Catherine Keener and Brendan Gleeson will play in the film. On the other hand, there is speculation about the return of Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond for a sequel from the original film, talks with the actress for the role are ongoing.

What will be the story of Joker 2, it is also not known yet. Shooting for the film will begin in New York and Los Angeles by the end of the year.

Todd Phillips is also returning to direct the sequel. Phillips co-wrote the screenplay with original writer, Scott Silver.

When Will Joker 2 Comes Out?

Warner Bros.’ Joker 2 is schedule to release in theatres on October 4, 2024.

Warner Bros and DC’s Joker 2 will undoubtedly give a boost to Jacob Lofland’s career. Although the actor started his career with 2012’s Mud. He then starred in two films of The Maze Runner trilogy, led by Dylan O’Brien. He previously seen in horror flick, A House on the Bayou from Epix.
